Seis GEaR Acquires Streamer Recovery Device Line

Houston, TX – May 30, 2025 – Seis GEaR announces a deal in principle to acquire the Streamer Recovery Device (SRD) line from Geospace Technologies, which will be effective June 30, 2025. Building upon our extensive expertise in the repair of seismic, exploration and monitoring equipment, we plan to expand the offerings to include the sale of streamer accessory products including recovery devices, float tubes and collars.

The sale includes the complete Geospace Streamer Recovery Device (SRD) line of products which include SRD-500S, SRD-500DW, HSRD, Inline Steamer Recovery Device, Navigator Bird, and QL Collars. This equipment is used primarily in marine seismic surveys associated with towed streamers, which are long cables with hydrophones to provide data from reflected seismic waves. An essential addition to any maritime seismic survey project.
