HSRD: Heading Sensor Recovery Device

This heading sensor streamer retriever combines a marine streamer heading sensor with a streamer recovery device that, together, significantly minimizes the equipment towed in a marine seismic array. Emerging from the energy exploration technology developed for the Navigator Bird System and the SRD-500S, the HSRD provides magnetic-field and heading information, as well as the ability to recover expensive in-sea equipment—a technology solution completely optimized for use in offshore marine acquisition surveys.

SRD-500S DW Streamer Recovery Device
PRODUCT DETAILS
The SRD-500DW is an automatic sealed streamer retriever device that aids in the recovery of seismic streamers that have descended to a deeper depth than desired. These devices are programmable for depth activation and are placed at specific intervals on the streamer and are activated when the streamer sinks to a pre-programmed depth between 20 to 200 meters.

Navigator Bird

The Navigator streamer bird depth-control system provides new standards of efficiency for offshore marine streamer acquisition. The Navigator features very high lift force at low towing speeds, extremely low power consumption, and robust, modular mechanics for superior system reliability.

The streamer Float Tube is designed to be attached to a streamer above cable-leveling and/or acoustic devices and is non-magnetic. The device is manufactured from rigid, closed-cell PVC foam, providing 8 lbs. of positive buoyancy, and is crafted with a streamlined design to reduce travel noise.
